Pentik most sustainable brand in its industry in Sustainable Brand Index 2021 survey
This year, Pentik was included for the first time in Europe's largest survey measuring brand sustainability perceptions, the Sustainable Brand Index. Finns voted us the most sustainable brand in our industry (Furniture & Decoration - Stores), placing us 1st. Our overall ranking among the 212 brands included in the survey in Finland was 44th.
The Sustainable Brand Index is Europe's largest sustainability-focused survey, aiming to increase awareness of sustainable business practices and their importance for brands, and to help companies develop their operations in a more sustainable direction. This independent survey is conducted annually in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The survey examines both environmental and social responsibility. The brands evaluated were selected based on their market position, turnover, market share, and general brand awareness.
In the 2021 survey, 9,900 people were interviewed in Finland, and each brand was evaluated by at least 1,000 respondents. The survey covered 25 industries and 212 companies.
Sustainable beauty for homes
We have been working steadfastly for Finnish craftsmanship and quality products for fifty years, and the importance of sustainability work in our daily operations has taken on an increasingly central role. We have identified our key sustainability themes and areas for development and have also had these validated by an external party.
All our ceramic products are designed in Finland and manufactured in our own ceramic factory in Posio, the northernmost in the world. In our own production, we aim to recycle and utilize raw materials as efficiently as possible, for example, unfired clay from our factory is reused, or glazed ceramic items broken during the manufacturing process find new life in recycled art pieces.
