Ember Cushion Cover Jacquard

The Hiillos cushion covers are woven with shimmering lurex yarn, which brings a subtle glow to the fabric – like embers still glowing in the darkness of the night. The black jacquard Hiillos cushion cover measures 45x45 cm, so it fits Pentik's 48x48 cm inner cushion, which makes the cushion look plump. The cushion cover material is 36% acrylic, 33% polyester, 26% recycled cotton and 5% lurex. Machine washable on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees.

From ember to fabric. Sometimes design is born in the warmth of the sauna. Designer Minna Niskakangas was inspired to create the Hiillos pattern by glowing embers and black charcoal in the sauna stove. The pattern's journey to fabric began in a stone lithography workshop that our designers visited. The soft patterns seen in the design were painted with a pastry brush onto limestone, from which professional printers created printing plates. The resulting prints were scanned and simplified into a modern pattern suitable for textiles.
