A documentary about Anu Pentik is now available on Yle Areena. Directed and written by Mari Mantela, the documentary tells Anu's life story from her own perspective, as well as from the perspective of people close to her.
Dilettante means self-taught. That's how Anu Pentik, a well-known entrepreneur and ceramic designer, sees herself. Pentik became a free artist at an age when most people retire. By then, Pentik had achieved success as an entrepreneur and designer in a company known to all Finns. In an exhibition opening at the Wäinö Aaltonen Museum in the summer of 2022, Pentik will present her life story. Key events will also be recounted by her husband, Topi Pentikäinen, and colleague, Auli Harjama. Life alongside Pentik, who has dedicated herself to work and clay design, has been intense. The pace has not slowed down since Pentik turned 80. Anu Pentik has calculated the remaining hours she can still work with clay. She intends to use that time well.
