For over fifty years, we have worked persistently for Finnish employment and high-quality products. In our responsibility work, we do not aim for a finished state; instead, we continuously strive towards increasingly sustainable business operations. According to our sustainability strategy for 2022-2026, we aim to develop our operations in the areas of our four sustainability commitments and monitor the progress of our work.

Employing people domestically has been a matter of honor for us since the company's foundation, and employee well-being is an important part of Pentik's sustainability work. An essential part of Pentik's company culture is the equal treatment of everyone, a strong team spirit, and the desire to strive forward together, encouraging one another. In addition to offering lifelong careers, we also want to offer a responsible first job to young people.

Assuming responsibility in Posio
With Pentik, the ceramics industry is one of Posio municipality's most important livelihoods, and Pentik is the largest private employer in the municipality of approximately 3,000 residents. We employ about 50 people at our ceramics factory, logistics center, office building, and factory outlet in Posio. We want to maintain ceramics expertise and preserve jobs in Posio and our ceramics production in Finland for decades to come.

Product Safety
100% of our textile products are ÖkoTex 100 certified. All food contact materials and children's products are tested to ensure they meet safety criteria and requirements. Over the past ten years, Pentik has only had 2 product recalls. All our ceramic dishes are suitable for food and can be used in electric, convection and microwave ovens, and are dishwasher safe. Our ceramic dishes have been tested by SGS Inspection Services Oy in accordance with ceramic regulations 165/2006 and 268/1992. Nothing from the dishes, glazes or colours used in them dissolves into food, and they do not contain lead (bPd) or cadmium (Cd).

The most responsible in its field
In 2022, Pentik was included for the first time in the Sustainable Brand Index study, which measures consumers' perceptions of brand sustainability. Finns voted Pentik the most sustainable brand in our industry (Furniture & Decoration - Stores), placing it first. Our overall ranking among the 212 brands included in the study in Finland was 44th.
