Artist Anu Pentik’s inexhaustible imagination and skilled hands have created a joyful series of unique ceramic dogs for us. Each Pentik Dog ceramic sculpture is handmade, unique, and has its own individual personality. The idea of an animal collection had been brewing in Anu's mind for a long time. She wanted to create a new Pentik Studio collection of ceramic animals that would bring joy to people's homes and lives. But the animal still needed to be chosen.

Anu mentally went through all the magnificent furry, winged, and horned animals that live in her and Pentik's home region of Posio. Eventually, Anu settled on dogs, excited by the close and often profound relationship that exists between a dog and a human.

Anu got two skilled students from Posio high school, Mariia Vaskina and Arsenii Chuvaev, to help her at the ceramics factory. The unique and lovable dogs created through this collaboration belong to the Pentik Studio ceramics collection, all products of which are manufactured in small series and decorated by hand.

Each handmade Pentik Dog ceramic sculpture is unique, with individual facial features, and some even have their own accessories! We hope these ceramic dogs find their way into loving families, bringing warmth and joy, just as dogs tend to do. The eternal question, however, remains: will the dog begin to resemble its owner, or the owner their dog?
