Press release 18 June 2021

Pentik has reformed its entire management team during the last two years and is seeking strong growth, also from international markets, in line with its new strategy. As part of this reform, the company has hired Niina Nenonen as its first director responsible for international sales. Nenonen will become a member of the company’s management team, and her first task will be to clarify the growth path for the coming years. Nenonen is currently the director responsible for Marimekko’s Japanese market. She will start her new role on 10 March 2022.

- Pentik has a genuine, interesting story, and the brand has achieved a very strong position in the domestic market and in the hearts of consumers over the decades. It’s wonderful to be part of writing the next chapter in Pentik’s story and to boost the company’s growth in international markets, says Niina Nenonen.

Already when Pentik’s new CEO was chosen in 2019, the company announced that it aims for business growth, particularly by expanding international sales and e-commerce. E-commerce was fully renewed earlier this year, and now that the coronavirus situation is easing, it is the right time to start growing international sales.

- I am glad that we are getting another top professional to join our management team. I am looking forward to March and Niina’s start at Pentik, says the company’s CEO Riikka Wulff.

In addition to the above, Pentik’s management team includes Product and Design Director Luisa Laine, Marketing Director Minna Lampinen, HR Manager Carola Rahkola and E-commerce Manager Sami Karjalainen. This year, Pentik celebrates its 50th anniversary.
