Northern beauty to homes

About us

Pentik is an international interior design retailer, who wants to bring northern beauty and cosiness to homes. In our opinion, an inspiring home can be created by combining Finnish handicrafts and the most beautiful discoveries from all around the world. Our ceramics factory is in Posio, Finland.

Designers

Our designers are inspired by textiles, ceramics, glass, wood, metal... And everything else!
They have a lot on their plate, because our designers create four changing seasonal collections every year.
In addition to that, they design Pentik's main product range. Get to know our designers – they are an inspiring bunch of people.

Designer

Anu Pentik

Anu is the founder of Pentik and an enthusiastic artist, who has directed Pentik's artistic and industrial development for 45 years. She dreams of the future and everything new she wants to see and feel. Anu is always ready for takeoff! She does not look back, but she lives here and now, waiting eagerly what happens next.

Designer

Lasse Kovanen

Lasse states that the most important task and the most valuable skill of a designer is to incorporate "something you can't put into words" into a product. And that "something" has to touch people's hearts. Lasse is inspired by happy moments and the things and experiences that are close to people. His favourite subject is the world of nature, plants and animals. When Lasse is designing, he also pays attention to the customer. You can try to please customers and predict how they behave, but you have to find a way to win their love every time. Lasse has a master’s degree in fine arts (industrial design major).

Designer

Minna Niskakangas

Minna is an aesthete who wants to create good moods. She is always building a new home in her mind. The piano is the heart of her home, and she likes to invite her loved ones to sing around it. Minna has a master's degree in fine arts (industrial design major) from the University of Lapland.

Designer

Liina Harju

Liina is a sensualist, who is inspired by sensory experiences: colours, scents and materials that are durable and feel good. She thinks that creativity works best and flows naturally when it is not forced. If you can dream freely of something beautiful and good, you will also create something beautiful and good. Liina has a bachelor's degree from Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture (textile art and design major).
